A Tradition of Service to Our Country

Jobs

Devlin is committed to policies that end job-crushing taxes and regulatory overreach that have held our region back.
He’ll work to compel regulators to use common sense when it comes to how we treat our job-creators.
This year has taught us the fragility of the economic system. The Covid pandemic and the subsequent business shutdowns have shown that government must move cautiously and in a spirit of cooperation when confronting such a crisis.
At the same time, disruptions in the supply chain overseas has demonstrated that we need to work to reinvigorate manufacturing here in Pennsylvania.

Spending

For too long, the first impulse to every fiscal challenge has been to raise taxes. The Wolf administration has attempted to force through record tax increases and few doubt that, emboldened by reelection, he’ll try again. Devlin will fight any efforts to raise our income or sales taxes. He knows we don’t have a revenue problem – we have a spending problem.

Education

Devlin is committed to full and fair funding for school districts in the 37th District. He knows that the system needs repairs – with reliable, consistent revenue available without taxing working families and retirees out of their homes. Devlin will take a leading role in unravelling the education funding knot.

Pension Reform

Right now, Pennsylvania owes more than $70 billion in unfunded public pension liabilities. It’s a fiscal time bomb waiting to go off. Thanks to reckless decisions 17 years ago, taxpayers are on the hook for this legacy of debt. Devlin will work to reform this system so our children aren’t burdened with meaningless taxes that produce nothing new for those paying them.

Energy

It’s time we stopped apologizing for our success. Devlin believes Pennsylvania’s newfound status as an energy state is something to promote, not crush. Liberal extremists – many far removed from the gas fields – alternately want to shut down our Marcellus jobs or tax the industry out of the state. Devlin will work to protect these vital jobs that have meant an economic renaissance for our district.

Values

Born here and raised on our shared values, Devlin Robinson makes no apologies for being an advocate for the people and traditions of western Pennsylvania. It’s what prompted him to join the Marines and serve three combat tours. It’s why he believes in promoting better schools, good-paying jobs, and our way of life.
